Understanding Reiki: History, Practice & What the Evidence Says
Reiki is often reduced to two words: “energy healing.” That is too small to explain a practice with roots in early twentieth-century Japan, decades of cross-cultural development, a living practitioner tradition, and a modern research literature asking questions that are different from the questions the tradition itself asks.
This library separates those layers instead of blending them together. History is treated as history. Traditional and practitioner frameworks are identified as such. Alicia’s experience is presented as her experience. Scientific evidence is described according to what research has established — and what it has not.
You do not have to accept every framework in order to understand it.
